Description[]
This 'difference engine', although complex and requiring complex engineering to create, is a mechanical wonder to behold. And, not least, as the young polymath claimed, it is able to calculate tables of constants to fabulous degrees of accuracy. Where should it be deployed?

Description[]
The 'difference engine' is a wonder of...what? Bronze metallurgy? Hubris? Folly? Rumors have it much of the monies went on champagne lunches and lavish parties, but at the end of the day it does make a very nice sculpture. It just doesn't compute tables.
