The Alpini Unit is special to the Italians. Unlocked by the Line Formation technology in the Industrial Era. They have the Speciality Cliffs Crosser.[1]
History[]
Formed officially in 1872, the Alpini battalions were composed of soldiers specialized in alpine combat, whose origins dated back to the Roman empire. The soldiers in these regiments were recruited from Alpine provinces, hence the name, whose mission was to defend the northern Italian borders. They quickly became the Italian army's elite unit. As an independent, highly mobile force with unequaled knowledge of the land, they were capable of conducting military operations in mountainous terrain and in extreme weather conditions. During the World War I, they fought on all fronts in a number of fierce and bloody battles that would see their heroism go down in history.
