Specialist Slots are worked by Population in a City to provide additional yields, on top of the exploitation provided by Districts. The new population will be automatically assigned to one of the specialist slots based on the selected City policy, which can be found in the City overview screen. The Population can be freely moved between Specialist Slots, with drag and drop.
Number of specialist slots[]
City Centers provide a baseline of 2Farmers Slots, 2Workers Slots, 2Traders Slots and 2Researchers Slots.
- Attaching a Territory add +1 of each jobs.
- The Farmers Quarter, Makers Quarters, Market Quarters and Research Quarters adds +1 slot of their respective jobs (Farmer, Worker, Trader and Researcher)
- The Hamlet adds +1 of each slots for a total of 4 slots.
- Civics:
- Industrial Production (Economy): Nationalized Industries (+1Farmers Slots per Farmers Quarter) or Privatized Industries (+1Traders Slots per Market Quarters).
- Children's Rights (Society): Child Education (+1Researchers Slots per Research Quarters) or Child Employment (+1Workers Slots per Makers Quarters).
- The Social Housing technology (Contemporary Era) adds +4 Specialists of each type for a total of +16 slots.
Additional Districts, Legacy Traits and Infrastructures may provide additional Specialist Slots.
